Olivia Cooke is opening up about the chances she’ll be part of the Ready Player One sequel.
The 26-year-old actress, who played Samantha in the 2018 movie, spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about the upcoming second flick, Ready Player Two
“I haven’t read the new book yet,” Olivia shared. “I don’t think I’d be in the sequel just because if it goes directly after the first one, then I’ll be bloody 40 by the time it comes out.”
In the book by Ernest Cline, “Ready Player Two” centers on “Wade Watts, who makes a discovery that changes everything. Hidden within Halliday’s vaults, waiting for his heir to find, lies a technological advancement that will once again change the world and make the OASIS a thousand times more wondrous — and addictive — than even Wade dreamed possible.”
“With it comes a new riddle, and a new quest — a last Easter egg from Halliday, hinting at a mysterious prize. And an unexpected, impossibly powerful, and dangerous new rival awaits, one who’ll kill millions to get what he wants. Wade’s life and future of the OASIS are again at stake, but this time the fate of humanity also hangs in the balance.”
