Five more arrested over clash at Yagaba-Kubori

Five more persons have been arrested in connection with the recent political clash in the Yagaba-Kubori constituency of the North East Region.

This brings to fourteen the number of persons arrested so far.

Some NPP supporters allegedly shot into the vehicle of the incumbent MP, Rauf Tanko during his campaign in one of the communities.

In a reprisal attack, some NDC supporters stormed the residence of the NPP parliamentary candidate, Mustapha Usif, to vandalize his property.

Calm has since been restored to the constituency following the arrests.

North East Regional Police Commander, DCOP Kwadwo Antwi, says security presence in the community has been intensified.
