Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has written an 8-paragraph letter, condemning the shooting of protesters in the country. Obasanjo noted in his letter that the protest against police brutality and improvement of lives of Nigerians has been a peaceful one.
He added that the shooting and murder of unarmed protesters no matter the level of provocation, has never been effective in suppressing public anger and frustration. Obasanjo further stated that though a great harm has been done, it can be stopped before it spirals out of control.
