Daisy‘s mom Melinda told TMZ, “She was my best friend and amazing daughter. I think she had to make make it seem like I could live without her. I can’t. I wish I could have taken the pain from her!” Melinda called the police to do a welfare check on her daughter and her body was discovered on Tuesday (August 4).
Audrie & Daisy is an American 2016 documentary film about three cases of rape of teenage American girls, in 2011 and 2012. It premiered at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival and debuted on Netflix.
Daisy was one of the subjects of the documentary. Daisy said she was raped at the age of 14 after being plied with alcohol at a house party in Missouri. No one was ever convicted of the crime.
Melinda continued, “She never recovered from what those boys did to her and it’s just not fair. My baby girl is gone.”
