Patrick Ewing, former Knicks basketball player, has tested positive for coronavirus.
The 57-year-old coach for Georgetown University revealed the news on social media this afternoon to fans.
“I want to share that I have tested positive for COVID-19,” Patrick
shared in a statement. “The virus is serious and should not be taken lightly. I want to encourage everyone to stay safe and take care of yourselves and your loved ones. Now more than ever, I want to thank the healthcare workers and everyone on the front lines. I’ll be fine and we will all get through this.”
Reports state that Patrick is currently in the hospital and in isolation for the time being.
At the start of the outbreak in the United States, several basketball stars tested positive for the virus.
