Local Government expects Isaka Amon in an interview has said that Ghana is not prepared to fight the world pandemic coronavirus.
Speaking on Ahotor FM morning show monitored by MyNewsGh.com Isaka Amon Kotei he said Ghana as a country is not prepared for any crisis management.
“Our general drug distribution store was burnt down some time ago as we speak I don’t know if it is back on track…Because only nose masks can not solve the problem…and if we don’t take care of the situation it might be worst”, he told the host Citizen Kofi Owusu.
He added that no country will be willing to give out medicine to fight the coronavirus at this stage as the whole world in this fight.
The Central Medical Stores at Tema containing every conceivable drug imported into the country before onward distribution to the various regions was razed by fire on January 13, 2015.
Ghana’s stock of medical supplies that was lost after the fire was estimated at GHc237 million.
