The leadership of the United Progressive Party (UPP) has welcome suggestion from the Electoral Commission (EC) to persuade ‘smaller’ political parties to merge as a third force.

“Am ready regardless of me becoming or not becoming President I embrace such suggestion from the Electoral Commission chairperson”, UPP founder, Mr. Akwasi Addai Odike spoke on a local radio in Kumasi in an interview monitored by MyNewsGh.com.

of a series of consultative meetings being held with stakeholders hinted of plans
to bring other ‘smaller’ parties under one umbrella.
Speaking to the suggestion, Mr. Akwasi Addai Odike hailed the
EC Chairperson despite contrary view from President Nana Addo Dankwa
“I agree with her. …She has good plans for Ghanaians. Her suggestion and treatment of political parties are best”, Mr. Akwasi Addai Odike observed urging CPP, LPG, UFP, UGCC and others to come together to wrestle political power from the governing party.

“UPP is also in support voting should end and 4:00pm”,
Mr. Akwasi Addai Odike revealed.
